You must be wondering why I uploaded two photos of a clothes line and a washing machine in my blog post. The reason I uploaded these photos is because I'm comparing the two things since there the same thing. The clothes line was created in 1830's and it sole purpose was to dry clothes but it takes like a week for the clothes to dry. The second photo show a washing machine, it was created in the 1850's and was known to change clothes washing forever. Basically, I just explain the evolution of the washing machine because it started out as a simple clothes line use to dry clothes but now we have the advance washing machine and dryer which cleans and dry clothes fast. This is another thing I thought about when I think about human progress because it's another item that we use for a living and back in the past, people used the clothes line while they manually wash the clothes. You could say that clothes is another connection and disruption between the past and present. I s...

For today, I will be explaining the two most significant difference between the past and the present. My opinion is that when I think about the past and present, I thought about horses to cars because back then people have to ride in horses as a mean for transportation until Henry Ford came up with the idea about building an automobile that makes transportation a lot easier. "Progress", when you here that word, what do you think about when it comes progress. The word has many definitions but the one common definition for the word is that it's the process of moving forward and advancing to your destination and humans are doing, we progress further to our future. The picture above shows the sticky notes of the Past, Present and Future in order while the word "Progress" represents the those three words. the reason I pick this picture for my journal entry because it basically shows the evolution of how we were able to grow and flourish. For Example, babies become ...

Many people ask themselves "how did we do it", as you know back then, they were many great people who had big ideas on how people should live their lives and because of those ideas, many peoples lives have changed for the better. The picture above shows a factory that was build by the people as a mean to create something bigger. In Unit 3, I learned a similar concept regarding industrialization, it's a change in circumstances accompanying a society's movement of population and resources from farm production to manufacturing production. In simpler terms, it's the increasing application of human knowledge of production. When I think about the word "Industrialization" I thought of one of the philosophies of history, Progressive and Postmodern View from Unit 1 because both of these philosophies question human progress.  Progressive View  is a central idea was that human history illustrates neither cycles nor divine intervention but continual progress while...

It safe to say that it's possible to connects the song "Somewhere I Belong" to the Black Lives Matter event because every African Americans want to be welcomed in the US and feel that they belong in the country. The Black Livers Matter isn't just about racial justice, it's about the desire for everybody to feel safe. In Unit 2, I recently learned that there's 2 types of Reconstruction, Presidential and Congressional, they each affect the Confederates and African Americans respectively in a different way and they are opposite of each other. The point is there is a time where the US government is there to help the black people and sometimes the government stands against us by blaming the black people for everything that has happened. Every time I look at those t...
